Big Update: Easier API Configuration and Smarter Excel Handling​

This release focuses on simplifying workflow configuration. From guided REST API setup to automatic Excel templates and clearer messages for missing settings, these updates make workflows easier to build.

Improvements​

Simplified REST API Configuration​

REST API workflow steps now offer a guided form with separate fields instead of requiring you to write the request by hand. This makes API setup faster and less error-prone.

Improved Data Lake Configuration​

Data Lake workflow steps now have a cleaner form for choosing a connection, writing the query, and optionally saving the result to a file.

Workflows​

  • Constant values on M3 API transactions: Constant values set in M3 API transactions are shown directly in the step, so they are easier to review.
  • More Excel rows: The Excel component now supports up to 40 rows, enabling larger datasets and more advanced mapping.
  • Automatic template: If you do not upload a template file for an Excel step, a default template is created for you.
  • Clearer messages: Email, Excel, and M3 Filter steps now tell you when required settings are missing.

Fixed​

  • Event column names: The selected column name is shown for event-based inputs.
  • Discarding name changes: The cancel icon in the M3 API step header discards a name change.
  • Schedule indicators: Schedule indicators are removed from workflow cards once the schedule is deleted.
