Big Update: App Builder, More Control, Faster Dashboards, and Smarter Workflows​

This release brings new capabilities across Dashboards, App Builder and Workflows, along with a set of usability improvements. From faster dashboards to richer generated apps and smoother workflow editing, everything is designed to give you more control with less friction.

Improvements​

App Builder​

  • Build prompt history: See and reuse the prompts from earlier build sessions of a generated app.
  • Search tables from generated apps: Generated apps can now search table data, including full-text search, sorting and summaries.
  • More capable generated apps: Generated apps can now use forms, pop-ups, downloads and dialogs.
  • Full user details: Generated apps now receive the complete user profile of the signed-in user.

Dashboards and widgets​

  • "Load on Init" toggle: Workflow-based widgets can wait to load their data until you ask for it, which makes dashboards open faster.
  • Dropdowns with default values: Table widgets that use workflow data can show dropdown lists with a default value for fields that have a fixed set of options.
  • Data source indicator: Widget headers now show an icon that tells you where the data comes from (table, workflow and so on).
  • Better data types for workflow widgets: Workflow widget settings now let you describe the expected data format more precisely.

Workflows​

  • Lookups from the run screen: Start a lookup workflow directly from the run screen, with fields filled in automatically and a result to pick from.
  • Lookup editor: Easier workflow selection, a check for duplicate names and clearer handling of read-only fields and removed mappings.
  • Faster Excel editor: A loading indicator when many fields are changed at once, and large column ranges expand automatically.
  • Edit Excel cells in place: Header cells can be edited directly; double-click to open the parameter selector.
  • M3 connection selected automatically: When a workflow runs, the M3 connection for the active environment is chosen for you.

Fixed​

  • Filter description: The "Connected with AND/OR" label appears only when there is more than one filter group.
  • Search and action bar layout: On all list pages the search field now comes before the action buttons.
  • Back buttons: Added to the role and API client detail pages.
  • Environment code: Codes can now be one to four letters instead of exactly four.
  • Table pagination: The page controls look the same in all tables.
