Manage your apps
The Apps list is where App Builder opens. It shows every app you can see, and it is where you find, label, copy and delete apps. For versions and publishing, see Publishing.
What the list shows
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| App Name | The name, the description and the app's labels |
| Published | The published version, who published it and when, or No published version |
| Version | The latest version, its status (Draft, Published or Archived) and how many versions the app has |
| Created by | Who created the app and when |
| Modified by | Who last changed the app and when |
Click a column heading to sort by it. Click a row to run the published app. If an app has nothing published yet, people with Write access open the editor instead.
Find an app
Above the list you can combine:
- Search to find apps by text.
- Labels to show only apps with at least one of the chosen labels.
- Users to show only apps created or last changed by the chosen people.
Labels
Labels group apps, for example by team, customer or area (Warehouse, Finance, Pilot). They are plain text tags shown under the app's description, and they appear in the Labels filter.
- Add labels when you create the app, in the Create new app dialog.
- Change them later with the edit (pencil) button next to the app name in the editor.
- Labels you have already used are suggested when you add one, so spelling stays consistent.
Favourites
Click the star next to an app that has a published version to mark it as a favourite. Favourite apps are added to the Apps section of your navigation menu, so you can start them in one click. Click the star again to remove it. Favourites are personal: they only affect your own menu.
Copy an app
Use a copy when a new app is similar to one you already have.
- In the Apps list, open the actions menu on the app and click Copy app.
- Adjust the Name (it starts as Copy of …), the Description and the Labels.
- Under Copy from version, choose which version to copy. The latest version is selected by default.
- Click Copy. The new app opens in the editor.
The copy is a separate app. It starts as a new version based on the version you chose, with that version's resources, assets and roles, so you can change the copy without touching the original. It is not published until you publish it.
Copying needs Write access to the original app.
Delete an app
Open the actions menu on the app and click Delete app, then confirm. Deleting is permanent. Needs Write access to the app.
Users can no longer run a deleted app. If you only want to stop using an app for a while, archive its published version instead of deleting the app. See Publishing.
Cost overview
The Cost button at the start of the toolbar above the Apps list opens the Cost Overview dialog. It shows how much AI usage App Builder has consumed, so you can see what building and running apps costs and where the usage comes from.
Use the filters at the top to choose which usage to look at:
- Connection: one AI connection used by App Builder, or All connections.
- User: usage by one person, or All users.
- Label: usage by apps with a given label, or All labels. See Labels.
- Range: Lifetime, Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Last 90 days, or Custom… with a From and To date.
- Granularity: group the usage by Daily or Weekly.
Under Refine returned usage you can narrow the result further by System (which part of Vince Platform used the AI) and Model (the AI model that did the work).
The dialog then shows:
- Cost: the total cost of the usage you selected, in dollars.
- Total tokens: the amount of text processed. Tokens are the small pieces of text that AI models read and write, and the usual basis for pricing. The number of sessions is shown alongside.
- A usage chart over time. Use Chart value to choose between cost and tokens, Split by to colour it by system or model, and View as to switch between Chart and Table.
- Token breakdown: Input (what is sent to the model), Output (what the model writes back), Cache write and Cache read (reusable context that is stored and read again, which is typically cheaper).
The overview is useful for checking what a team or customer spends on App Builder, comparing models, and spotting a day or user with unusually high usage.
If some usage has no known price, the dialog says "Some usage is not priced, so no total is shown", and chart points that contain such usage leave out the missing charges.
